Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive Bank’s passengers and any other authorized passengers to approved destinations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Execute daily work instructions in accordance with the work schedules in the Transport Office.
  • Ensure compliance with the CBK transport operating procedures, traffic laws and regulations.
  • Deliver vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc repairs and maintenance at the Bank’s appointed garages and arrange collection upon completion of the job.
  • Prompt reporting of accidents and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
  • Daily vehicle inspections and prompt reporting of any malfunction or defects that need attention to the immediate supervisor.
  • Punctuality in reporting to work on time and maintaining general cleanliness of vehicles assigned.
  • Ability to maintain and care for vehicle work ticket(s) for vehicle(s) assigned.
  • Maintenance of good working relationships with internal and external and external clients.
  • Ensure security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and/or goods therein.
  • Ensure assigned work assignments are complete and maybe required from time to time to work past working hours/weekends to ensure task completion.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (minus) and above.
  • Occupational Test Grade certificate III for vehicle mechanics.
  • Valid driving license for the following vehicle categories B, C1, D1, D2 & DPossession of a license to operate categories G vehicles will be a significant advantage.
  • Qualification in computer application from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • A First Aid Certificate Certification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

  • At least five (5) years’ verifiable continuous driving experience in a busy environment.
  • Experience in defensive driving.
  • Experience in motor vehicle mechanics and ability to diagnose vehicle defects and coordinate motor vehicle repairs will be an added advantage.
  • Good computer skills with the ability to operate fleet Management system and can take up the fleet coordinator duties as and when required.
  • Clean driving record without accidents in the “Serious’, “Major” or “Catastrophic” accident as per CBK classification in the last three years.
