Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning the Bank’s offices and related facilities as per the expected standards and guidelines.
  • Performs daily and periodical cleaning of his/her assigned work area as per the expected guidelines and standards.
  • Report maintenance defects to supervisor and follow through to ensure the same are addressed.
  • Responsible for ensuring the housekeeping checklists are kept up to date and within the expected timelines.
  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relations.
  • Comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability within the scope of work.
  • Report all potential and real hazards immediately to the supervisor for guidance.
  • Ensure to work with cleaning materials within the expected guidelines and report any incidences for guidance.
  • Ensure to work with protective gear /devises as instructed.
  • Adhere to the designated dress code and conduct of cleaners in the Bank at all times.
  • Comply to the duty allocations and provide support when called upon by the supervisor.
  • Continuously improve the cleaning service standards of the assigned section and knowledge of own job function.
  • Ensure to keep abreast and well updated on the Standard Operating Procedures related to the role.
  • Responsive and active team player.
  • Adherence to work procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (Minus) and above.

Work Experience

  • At least five (5) years working experience as a cleaner in a mid-size to large company.

Competencies
Technical Competencies

  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning chemicals.
  • Knowledge of proper storage and disposal methods.
  • Knowledge of best cleaning practices.
