The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, among others. The company has a total complement of over 900 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region.

We are looking for qualified and talented young accounting professionals to fill the following position:-

This is a one (1) year internship programme that provides a challenging and stimulating work environment with excellent growth opportunities. Candidates who will be successful in this programme stand a good chance to be deployed within the Group Shared Services on permanent basis.

The main tasks during the internship period are:-

  • General ledger maintenance and analysis
  • Cash office operations
  • Bank reconciliation and cash book management
  • Job costing
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Credit management
  • Creditors ledger maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

Role Specifications:-

  • Graduate in a relevant discipline from a recognised university (minimum Upper Second-Class Honours Degree)
  • Fully Qualified CPA (K) or ACCA
  • Good computer skills including MS Office packages
  • Experience in ERP will be an added advantage
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Proficiency in French language (written and spoken) will be an added advantage

Digital Marketer

The Group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, and DRC. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region. We seek one person who meets the criteria detailed below to fill the role of Digital Marketer in the ICT team.

The position holder should be ready to learn and will be progressively trained to handle the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to devise and implement holistic digital marketing strategies aligned with overarching business goals.
  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, integrating qualitative research insights and data analysis to innovate digital marketing approaches in the dynamic landscape.
  • Drive brand awareness, optimize web traffic, and generate leads through effective digital marketing campaigns, including managing, engaging and consistent social media initiatives.

The successful candidates will have the following Essential Knowledge & Skill:

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of successful digital marketing experience, showcasing expertise in planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns across various channels.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of SEO, SEM, and social media advertising, coupled with strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Exhibit effective project management and collaboration abilities, including the creation and delivery of insightful reports for stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications

  • Hold an Upper 2nd class honours degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies, employing business intelligence tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Power BI. Showcase proficiency in diverse digital marketing technologies and platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and email marketing tools, with a comprehensive grasp of online analytics and key performance indicators.
  • Exhibit robust analytical skills, with hands-on experience in data-focused aspects of digital marketing, including A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and marketing automation. Utilize technologies associated with digital marketing to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Showcase strong analytical skills, emphasizing the ability to extract actionable insights from digital marketing data for informed decision-making.
