Job Requirements:
The applicant must:
- Be a citizen of Kenya;
- Hold a Kenya National Identity Card/Passport;
- Hail from the County of recruitment;
- Possess a minimum mean grade of “D” (Plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination or its equivalent from an examination body recognized in Kenya;
- Be aged between 18 and 26 years;
- Be physically and medically fit;
- Have no criminal record; and
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo mandatory paramilitary training for a period of six (6) months and thereafter be deployed to the field.
NB: National Youth Service (NYS) graduates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply:
Step 1: Obtain the prescribed application form free of charge from either the nearest KWS National Park/
Station or download from the KWS website: www.kws.go.ke
Step 2: Fill/complete the prescribed application form
Step 3: Attach copies of relevant academic certificates, testimonials and National ID Card/ Passport
Step 4: Carry with you and present the filled prescribed application form together with the attached
academic certificates, testimonials and National ID Card/Passport at the recruitment center.
NB: Applicants must also present original academic certificates, testimonials and National ID
Card/Passport at the recruitment center for verification.
Recruitment dates, time & venues
Recruitment exercise shall take place from Monday 15th April, 2024 to Friday 19th April, 2024 and candidates are required to turn up in appropriate running gear at the following venues and dates:-
Additional Information:
- The recruitment exercise is absolutely FREE OF CHARGE and Kenya Wildlife Service will not be responsible for any recruitment conducted outside guidelines stated herein;
- Each applicant must present the original supporting documents for verification. The originals will be returned to the applicant before leaving the recruitment centre;
- Any person who presents fake/falsified identity cards, certificates or caught engaging in any corrupt activity shall be arrested and prosecuted;
- Members of the public are warned against engaging in malpractices with a view to ‘influence’ the recruitment process and are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or characters to the nearest Police Station or KWS office or call the Hotline number: 0800 597000;
- Bribery and other acts of corruption are against the law and anyone suspected of being culpable of such, will be arrested and prosecuted in a court of law;
- The recruitment will be conducted only in the designated recruitment centers and dates by a team of Kenya Wildlife Service Officers;
- The entire exercise will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner;
- The recruitment shall take into account gender, ethnic and regional diversity of the Kenyan people;
- Due to the nature of training, female candidates must not be pregnant at recruitment and during the entire training period;
- Persons with disability, women, those from marginalized areas and minority communities are encouraged to apply;
- The application for employment form obtained from KWS offices is FREE OF CHARGE; and
- Canvassing and lobbying will lead to automatic disqualification.
