As an ICT Project Specialist, you will coordinate and oversee the successful implementation of technology-related projects within the bank’s Digital Channels department. You will ensure the successful deployment and integration of technology solutions to support business objectives. Your technical expertise, project management skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential for success in this role.
You will report directly to the Digital Channels Manager and work closely with the Digital Channels Project Coordinator and other team members to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive technical requirements and work closely with the Digital Channels Project Coordinator to develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
- Project Execution: Monitor and track integration activities, and key technical project milestones and ensure the project is running as per the project timelines
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with teams from the Operations and IT to ensure successful implementation of digital projects—Foster effective communication, alignment, and collaboration among team members.
- Training: Coordinate integration-related training for the IT and Operations teams
- Risk Management: Collaborate with infosec and ICT sec to identify potential system and integration risks and ensure the project complies with the set mitigation measures.
- Documentation: Work closely with the Digital Channels Project Coordinator to maintain accurate documentation, including project plans, ICT requirements, ICT issues tracking and progress reports. Ensure compliance with documentation standards and audit requirements.
- Reporting: Work closely with the Digital Channels Project Coordinator to prepare regular ICT-related status updates and reports for stakeholders and senior management.
- Change Management: Assess the impact of digital projects on employees, processes, and workflows. Work with Digital Channels Project Coordinator to develop change management strategies and plans to support adopting digital solutions. Work with the support team to guide and support teams during transition periods.
- Technical Support: Work with the Digital Channels team and/or ICT department to resolve customer queries as quickly and efficiently as possible and escalate them to the relevant escalation channels as needed.
- Resolve and troubleshoot common queries: Work with the Digital Channels Operations Officer and/or ICT department to resolve technical queries as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least four years in managing technology-related projects, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of technology systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in a team, collaborate across different functional areas and stakeholder management abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Familiarity with risk management principles and practices.
- Technical certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
