Job brief
Our client is seeking a marketing officer to help them develop, implement and execute strategic marketing plans for their organization to increase brand awareness. As a marketing officer, the incumbent will be responsible for tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material aligns with the company’s brand identity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of marketing strategies
- Raise brand awareness by organizing and attending marketing events and activities.
- Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on multiple media channels٫ including social media٫ print٫ and otherwise.
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities that will enhance the company’s presence.
- Use metrics to evaluate ventures after completion٫ having seen them from start to finish.
- Prepare marketing material content for publishing and ensure proper distribution.
- Research the market to identify growth sectors and opportunities.
- Communicate with management in order to monitor expenses.
- Liaise with management to prepare a marketing budget and ensure funds are allocated wisely.
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns.
- Oversee the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, conferences, and festivals.
Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Marketing or related field.
- Proven work experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
