Mpala Research Centre is an exceptional hub of field-based research nestled within the captivating landscapes of Laikipia. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our Executive Director. This role requires exceptional administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic research environment.
Key Responsibilities: –
- Calendar Management: – Expertly manage the Executive Director’s time through comprehensive calendar coordination and scheduling.
- Communication and Correspondence: -Serve as the communications hub for the Executive Director, handling all written and verbal exchanges with professionalism and accuracy.
- Board Support: – Act as the critical link between the Executive Director and Board of Directors, ensuring seamless governance operations.
- Donor Relations Support – Facilitate and strengthen donor engagement through meticulous correspondence, documentation, and follow-up systems.
- Travel and Logistics: – Coordinate comprehensive travel arrangements and logistics to ensure smooth, efficient operations for the Executive Director.
- Event Planning: -Orchestrate high-profile events and VIP visits that advance the organization’s mission and stakeholder relationships.
- Administrative Support: -Provide comprehensive administrative foundation that enables efficient operations across all organizational activities.
- Research Support -Support the Executive Director’s research leadership through information gathering, literature review, and proposal development.
- Relationship Management: -Cultivate and maintain essential relationships with internal and external stakeholders that advance organizational goals.
- Additional Duties: -Demonstrate flexibility in supporting the Executive Director with other tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Executive assistant role preferably in non-profit organizations
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and digital communication tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
