Regen Organics is an industry leader based in Nairobi, Kenya. We undertake three exciting lines of work.

  • We provide safe, sustainable sanitation services to residents living in urban informal settlements of Nairobi and Kisumu using end-to-end non-sewered sanitation solutions.
  • We implement a circular economy model to sustainably manage sanitation and organic waste generated in cities. Using technologies developed in-house, we upcycle the waste into insect-based protein for animal feed, organic fertilizer, and biomass fuel. We operate the largest organic recycling plant in East Africa.
  • We partner with cities to develop and deliver safe sanitation and waste management for urban residents. Using a systematic methodology, we match cities’ sanitation and waste management needs with technology and service delivery models, and then offer clear guidance on the steps that governments, funders, service providers, and technology developers can take to develop and implement integrated service delivery systems.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

A sales associate is often the first touchpoint potential customers have with a company, providing valuable experience. Not only do you get hands-on experience selling directly to consumers, but you have the opportunity to represent your company and gain valuable knowledge about its products and services.

The Key Responsibilities Of a Sales Associate Include

  • Learn and utilize the company’s direct sales methodology to sell an exciting new product directly to agrovets, and commercial, small, and medium-scale farmers.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Advise farmers on the use of best practices in soil management and other good agricultural practices.
  • Build a portfolio of long-term clients by conducting structured post-purchase service visits with customers.
  • Daily updates of the sales and pipeline data using Google Apps and the company’s proprietary smartphone applications.
  • Enhance brand visibility.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid motorbike driver’s license.
  • Technical Degree/diploma in Agriculture (BSc. in Horticulture or similar) with Agricultural sales experience.
  • High level of motivation and entrepreneurial drive.
  • Interest in learning in-depth about a new industry, new product category, new sales process, and everything else that’s needed.
  • Desire to learn, constantly improve, and act on feedback.
  • Creativity when problem-solving and excellent communication skills
  • Goal-driven and self-motivated when working independently.
  • Basic computer skills – MS Office, Google Apps.

Attributes Of a Good Sales Associate

  • Provides insight – A sales professional with a consultative mindset identifies customer needs and seeks to tailor custom solutions that fit those needs.
  • Honesty and integrity – A person with consistently strong moral principles and who accurately reports and presents facts without distortion.
  • Good Listeners – You have to listen to the customer’s pain point before you start selling your product or service. Great salespeople sell solutions to problems and they do that by understanding and listening to the customer.
