Role Overview:

As the Communications and Outreach Coordinator at the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), you will play a key role in advancing our mission to promote environmental conservation and awareness through visual storytelling. You will be responsible for executing communication initiatives to engage our audience, raise awareness about conservation issues, and drive support for our organization’s efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media: Create compelling content, including blog posts and social media posts, to showcase the work of iLCP members, highlight conservation successes, and raise awareness about environmental issues.

2. Brand Management: Maintain and enhance iLCP’s brand identity and reputation as a leading voice in conservation storytelling. Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels and materials.

3. Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and maximize exposure for iLCP’s initiatives, campaigns, and events.

4. Outreach Coordination: Foster meaningful connections with our supporters, partners, and stakeholders through regular communication, outreach efforts, and engagement initiatives. Encourage participation in conservation activities and advocacy campaigns.

5. Impact Measurement: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing and communication efforts, using metrics and analytics to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies. Report on key performance indicators and outcomes to internal stakeholders.

6. Event Coordination: Assist in planning and promoting iLCP events, including exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and fundraisers. Coordinate logistics, marketing materials, and promotional activities to ensure successful and impactful events.

7. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to coordinate messaging, align strategies, and achieve shared goals. Collaborate with iLCP members and conservation partners to amplify our collective impact.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

– Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the non-profit sector or environmental conservation field.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for storytelling and visual storytelling.

– Strong digital marketing skills, including proficiency with social media platforms, content management systems, email marketing tools, and web analytics.

– Creativity, initiative, and a passion for environmental conservation and photography.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This is a remote position following EST working hours

Must be able to attend 2-3 team meetings per week

Must have computer and Wifi access

This is a part-time position, starting at 10-15 hours per week
