Key duties and Responsibilities
- To assist in support programmes implementation work in the field and in the office.
- Assisting in Preparing and providing meeting/events documents including agenda, program and supporting documents.
- Assisting in the preparation of meeting notes, workshop reports and presentations when required.
- To assist in implementation of short-term projects.
- To support in logistics of different activities including programme meetings and events organized by PELUMKenya.
- To assist in compiling data related to attendances in meetings and events.
- To assist in capture, caption and store activity photos in a designated folder/server.
- To assist program officers in photocopying, printing and filing of necessary documents.
- To assist in preparation and follow up on programmes budgets, payment requests and surrenders.
- To Assist Zonal Coordinators (PELUM Kenya in the Field) and pursue matters that requires attention at the Secretariat.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Requirements, Minimum Qualifications & Credentials:
- Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, environment, natural resource management, climate change, project management or related fields
- A short course on organic agriculture, agroecology will be an added advantage
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational, time management and strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to multi-task, to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines;
- Team player with ability to undertake tasks with minimal supervision
- Be flexible to travel to the field when required.
- Has interest in Community and social development
