Job Description: Accounts Assistant

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team. The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical proficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices, receipts, and purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Assist in the collection and reconciliation of accounts receivable, resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in accounting, Finance, CPA 2 or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
