The County Public Service Board do inform Public members that the Vacancy Number 29/2022/KCPSB for the position of Assistant Agricultural Officer – JG H (16 Posts), advertised in The Standard Newspaper on 20th December 2022, is cancelled and has been replaced with the following.

1)      ASSISTANT AGRICULTURAL OFFICER III     JOB GROUP ‘H’ – 8 positions

  1. Duties and responsibilities

An officer at this level will be deployed to

  • A Ward as Ward Agricultural officer (WAO) or to ATC as a Farm Manager or training Officer and reporting to Sub-County Agricultural Officer or ATC Principal
    • Sub-County as crops or Agribusiness Officer
    • ATC as Farm Manager or training Officer Duties and responsibilities will entail
  • Assisting in delivering of extension services including conducting field days and training of farmers
  • Collecting and compiling crops data and reports in the Ward
  • Participating in collecting marketing data and value addition.

b)     Requirement for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma [DIP.] in any of the following fields:

  • Food Science
    • Home Economics
    • Agriculture
    • Horticulture
    • Agriculture Economics
  • Natural Resource Management
    • Agribusiness
    • Agriculture Extension
    • Agriculture Education or
    • Any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • AGRICULTURAL ASSISTANT II JOB GROUP ‘G’- 8 POSITIONS

a)      Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will be deployed to a Ward as Ward Agriculture Officer or to ATC as a farm manager or training officer and reporting to Sub-County Agriculture Officer or ATC Principal. Duties and responsibilities will entail

  • Assisting in delivering of extension services including conducting field days and training of farmers
    • Collecting and compiling crops data and reports in the Ward
    • Participating in collecting marketing data and value addition.

b)  Requirement for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Certificate in any of the following fields:

  • Food Science
    • Home Economics
    • Agriculture
    • Horticulture
    • Agriculture Economics
    • Natural Resource Management
    • Agribusiness
    • Agriculture Extension
    • Agriculture Education or
    • Any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
