About the job
We are looking for a trainer who can teach and supervise students’ laboratory and clinical work.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and/or graduate students on topics such as pharmacology, mental health nursing, and community health care practices
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- supervise students’ laboratory and clinical work.
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
- Plan, evaluate, and revise the curriculum, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
- Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
- Perform administrative duties, such as serving as department head.
- Design, develop, and review teaching activities and materials.
Qualifications
- 2 years of proven experience teaching in a college or university setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education or related field
- Clinical teaching qualification (e.g., mentorship / practice teacher)
- Experience of curriculum development
- ability to deliver high quality teaching and assessment
- Understanding good professional practice in learning and teaching
- Commitment to completing formal training in academic practice.
- Must be available on full time basis
- Excellent communication skills and time-management skills,
