About the Role

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, ensuring efficient shipment processing, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that sits at the heart of Wananchi Group’s supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments across sea, air, and road
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment processing and delivery
• Track shipment schedules, prepare logistics status reports, and proactively highlight delays
• Ensure full compliance with KRA, KEBS, and all relevant regulatory agencies
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for receipt, verification, and safe storage of good

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field
• Professional certification in CIPS or KISM is an added advantage
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the telecom, ICT, or FMCG sector
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Navision, or similar platforms
• Proven experience working with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies
