Responsibilities
- Research and compile information on advocacy on good practices on sustainable urban mobility.
- Compile and/or produce information materials on urban mobility activities, liaising with relevant colleagues and offices and gathering information related to the topic.
- Prepare, maintain and update the urban mobility related social media accounts and other official online outlets; Prepare new material for inclusion on appropriate social media accounts and other online outlets.
- Support the production and delivery of information materials, publications, reports, communications products and services.
- Support preparation of events with the information and communications materials required. Participate in the planning and coordination of exhibits; liaise with relevant departments/agencies.
- Provide support in drafting and editing reports, press releases and related texts, and correspondence related to the planning and production of exhibits. Assist in the dissemination of programme results and outputs.
- Prepare, maintain and update on-line reporting of urban mobility projects; Identify and prepare new material for inclusion in appropriate reporting systems.
- Manage, update and further develop internal databases and update website. Using relevant computer software, create designs in appropriate format for promotional material, e.g. brochures, presentation materials, announcements, info graphics; ensure availability and appropriate packaging of products for distribution at special events, exhibits, conferences, media functions.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Work Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in communication, public relations, journalism or related area is required.
- Work experience in special events and social media platforms management is required.
- Working experience with the UN system or other international organization is desirable.
- One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Languages
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
