Duties and Responsibilities

1. taking statistics on matters pertaining to prisoners’ welfare services;
2. individual counselling of prisoners and mobilizing prison staff and inmates on awareness of pandemic diseases.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent qualification; and
2. Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
