Sales Representative – FMCG at Corporate Staffing

Duties and responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products.
  • Provide management with monthly store visit itinerary/customer call
  • Submit orders by referring to the price list and product literature
  • Have to investigate problems, develop solutions and prepare reports and recommendations to management 
  • Obtaining payments from clients as per agreed trading terms.
  • Must maintain and provide historic records by area and customer sales 
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, and logistics 
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
  • Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitor activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing teams.
  • Participate and/or support in trade shows and conventions.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing or another business-related course 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar role and preferably in the FMCG industry 
  • Deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills
  • Candidates above 28 years are encouraged to apply
