    Responsibilities

    • Under the guidance and direct supervision of the National Peace and Development Officer, the Intern will undertake his/her assigned tasks indicated in the below: 1. Coordination & Secretariat Support
    • In coordination with the Peace and Development Officer and the Coordination UN Lead Agency for the PSEA Network, provide logistical and administrative support for PSEA Network activities and meetings, including participation in preparation of presentations, coordination with relevant actors in the network to secure venues, preparation of registration lists, consolidating materials and resources for events and filing them in the correct folders in the PSEA Network and alerting target audience about the materials.
    • Take detailed meeting minutes, track action points, and follow up with the National Peace and Development Officer and the UN Lead Agency/coordinator.
    • Maintain updated database of Network member organizations and PSEA focal points across Network memberships.
    • Assist in consolidating and archiving key documents, ensuring version control and accessibility for network members.
    • Update the PSEA Network Membership, including thematic groups
    • Track PSEA training and certification
    • Communications & Advocacy Draft, edit, and format PSEA-related communications products such as newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs, infographics, and social media posts, quarterly and annual reports.
    • In collaboration with existing expertise within the PSEA Network member organisations, support the development of audio-visual content (short videos, graphics) for awareness-raising campaigns
    • The internship is for 6 months and is unpaid and will not attract any remuneration or allowances.

    Qualifications/special skills

    • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
    • Be enrolled in the final academic years of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) in information management, document management, digital archiving or a related field of study; Applicants must demonstrate their intention to study further or to work in a field relevant to this internship description.
    • Applicants are expected to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
    • Preferred area of study: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in international relations, human rights, law, communications, gender studies, social sciences, or related fields. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
