- Our client, a leading distributor of premium mushrooms in Kenya, is seeking a Sales Executive to ensure high-quality mushrooms are delivered to a diversified customer base, including major retail chains, restaurants, hotels, and wholesalers. The company is committed to excellence, ensures the integrity of the cold chain from production to delivery and strives for outstanding customer satisfaction. The Sales Executive will oversee and drive the sales operations, ensure sustained revenue growth and maintain the company’s position as a quality leader in the Nairobi market. This role is pivotal in developing strong relationships with clients, optimizing distribution channels, and achieving sales targets aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
 Sales Strategy and ExecutionÂ
- Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to grow market share.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales initiatives.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including large retail chains, niche stores, restaurants, brokers and wholesalers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for high-value clients to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Gather client feedback to inform product improvements and service enhancements.
Team Leadership and CollaborationÂ
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Provide training and support to improve team performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and logistic services
Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor sales metrics and prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer trends, and market analysis.
- Identify gaps in sales processes and propose actionable solutions.
- Ensure alignment with financial objectives and overall growth strategy.
 Logistics Service Solution
- Presenting tailored logistics solutions, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring the services align with the client\’s supply chain requirements.
- Identifying potential customers, understanding their logistics needs, and building long-term relationships to ensure continued business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales of fresh produce is highly preferred.
- Experience in HORECA & Retail experience required.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the market and distribution networks.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools.
- High level of organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
