- AHB is seeking a Technical Writer – Healthcare management to develop high-quality, research-based technical discussion documents and winning proposals that support the growth of AHBs work and impact on the African continent.
- The Technical Writer will play a key role in producing clear, accurate, and engaging concepts, proposals and working documents for potential AHB clients such as multinationals, SMEs and development partners.
- The Technical Writer – Health will work closely with AHB’s consulting team to gather insights, understand the operations and synthesize complex health information to craft compelling guiding documents, concepts and proposals.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, preferably with experience in healthcare management consulting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and compile high-quality technical documents, concept notes, capability statements and proposals covering the proposed strategies, showcasing capabilities, skills, past experiences and methodologies of AHB.
- Part of this will include the synthesization and presentation of healthcare data, policy trends, and research findings in a clear and accessible manner.
- Work within the Business Development Team and collaborate with the Consulting team to document key insights and impact from completed and current work.
- Ensure all required documents are compliant to industry standards, funding agency requirements, and client needs.
- Develop standardized templates and documentation guidelines to ensure consistency and professionalism across AHB’s technical outputs.
- Proofread and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory and client-specific guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social/Business Studies, Communication and/or healthcare management related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the health management consulting sector.
- Strong understanding and affinity with African health systems (Public-Private), business environment and and emerging health trends.
- Excellent command of the English language, with impeccable grammar and analytical skills.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare concepts into clear, concise, and impactful written materials.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including the private sector and development partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint)
