Job Purpose
To enable the Bank to achieve its strategic goals by implementing efficient and effective systems of acquisition of goods, works, and services, as well as disposal of assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and coordinating the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans and their implementation.
- Coordinating procurement and disposal activities in the bank.
- Preparing contract documents for goods, works, and services.
- Custodian of contract documents.
- Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works, and services.
- Providing secretariat to committees incidental to the procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets.
- Coordinating disposal of assets activities.
- Providing professional advice on procurement of goods, works, and services and disposal of assets.
- Preparing statutory reports to PPRA.
- Reviewing procurement needs of the bank.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements and Experience
- Have eight (8) years relevant work experience in public or private sector, three (3) of which must have been at a supervisory level.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
- Be a Member of a professional body either KISM or CIPS in good standing.
- Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Have management courses or programmes from a recognized institution.
- Have demonstrated results in work performance.
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
