Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain account records for the company.
- Work with sense of urgency to support the accountant by preparing the creditor’s aging analysis and reconciling the creditor’s ledger with suppliers’ statements.
- Liaise with the supervisor to identify and implement process improvements and documentation updates that will eliminate manual processes.
- Review and map local trial balances to a consolidated ledger for upload into the company’s ERP system.
- Perform reconciliations between the ERP System and the company sub-systems.
- Manage daily financial activities such as cash management and asset management.
- Assist in interim and annual audits to ensure information is being properly communicated and deadlines are met.
- Prepare monthly tax returns.
- Prepare statutory deductions and check off deductions for remittance within the specified time.
- Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain an accurate and updated inventory of company assets and stocks.
- Accounts receivables roles that include invoice preparation, booking receipts, account reconciliation and sharing customer statements.
- Assume responsibilities for other accountants in their absence.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounts/ Finance or equivalent qualifications.
- Attainment of CPA section IV and above is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
- Basic knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, GAAP.
- Competency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Excel. Preferably SAP
- Good acumen for problem solving.
