REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya.
  • Have at least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience in a leadership position at the senior management level in a public service or private sector organization.
  • Must meet the requirements of leadership and integrity as prescribed in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
  • Qualification as a certified secretary.
  • Knowledge and experience in policy making.
  • Ability to transform political vision/manifesto into implementable Government Policies
  • Proven track record in Human Resource Management Public communication and citizen engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounting and Authorized Officer of the Board;
  • Overall in-charge of the Secretariat;
  • Planning and Budgeting for the Board;
  • Custodian of all Records, Assets and Minutes of the Board;
  • Communicating decisions of the Board;
  • Preparing both periodic and adhoc reports for submission to the County Assembly on the executionof the functions of the Board.
  • Preparing the Agenda for Board meetings in consultation with the Chairperson of the Board and taking minutes during the Board Meeting
  • Initiating programmes and activities for staff performance and reward management;
  • Preparing and submitting programmes and strategies necessary for achievement of Board’s mandate for the approval of the Board;
  • Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Board.

    • Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
    • Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board.
    • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority.
    • Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission.
    • A report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
  • All applications should be accompanied by a copy of National ID Card or Passport, a detailed CV, copies of all relevant certificates (including Transcripts), testimonials & other relevant supporting documents.
