DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome guests and maintain high standards of restaurant hygiene as per Company SOPs.
  • Quality food preparation and presentation which meets food safety requirements.
  • To maintain a hygiene working environment in kitchen by providing clean utensils and washrooms phone.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have good menu knowledge.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe

  • Previous experience in a QSR
  • In house training.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and speciality beverages. Handling customer interactions at various levels of customer touch points
  • Consistently follows the set Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) during production Advice the Barista in charge on stock levels
  • Maintains a clean, tidy and working counter at all times
  • Assists the barista in charge in running the barista counter
  • Doing the daily stock take of counter products at the end of the shift
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Ensuring sufficient supply of products for sale in the counter by doing sufficient back up
  • Ensuring all take-away and eat in orders are dispensed promptly according to the order docket Arranging the pastry case and ensuring that it is always clean
  • Reconfirming of orders done on Vuka
  • Controlling of wastages
  • Ensuring there is enough change at all times
  • Maintaining shift float money and ensuring no shortages
  • Timely closure of counter variances
  • Taking care of counter machines
  • Ensure countable daily stock are done correctly
  • Carry out any other task as may be instructed by superiors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to think and make quick decisions under pressure, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team In-house training in baristaring and service
  • Excellent customer care technique and application
  • The candidate should have 2 years working experience as a certified Java House Africa Staff or 3years working experience as a Barista in a certified coffee store
  • Be conversant with the Java House Africa coffee/beverage menu and dedicated to its systems and procedures
  • Specialty coffee bodies certification [SCAA, SCAE,CQI]
  • Coffee Liquors certification
  • Minimal “O” level
