  • The position is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner in the Agency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handling office telephone calls; make outgoing call and receive incoming calls and directing them accordingly.
    • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents including classified materials.
    • Maintaining an up to date filing sy

    ne correspondence to ensuring timely feedback to clients.

  • Developing individual work plans, monitoring own performance and seeking requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
  • Ensuring proper office layout in terms of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Arranging conferences, meetings and travel reservations for office personnel.
  • Keeping stock of office supplies and placing orders when necessary.

 Academic, Professional Qualifications and Related Job Experience

  • Hold a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or any other relevant field from a recognized institution with at least two (2) years relevant work experience; OR
  • Hold a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or any other relevant field from a recognized institution with at least four (4) years relevant work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Demonstrate understanding of public service values;
  • Be detail oriented, have ability to meet deadlines while delivering on high quality results.

Terms of Service and Renumeration

The appointment is on permanent and pensionable terms of service. NuPEA offers salary and benefits constitent with scales approved by the Salaries and Renumeration Commission (SRC).

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to present the following clearance Certificates to fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012:

  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board.
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
  • Clearance from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
