We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Analyst to join our Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our financial models, preparing the necessary documentation for fundraising activities, and supporting our financial planning and analysis functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze data from various sources to support business planning and strategy development. This includes financial data, market trends, and operational metrics.
- Build and maintain complex financial models to support project evaluation, financial planning, and investment decisions.
- Assist in the development and execution of the company’s strategic plans, including long-term business plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the company’s performance against strategic goals and objectives.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing all documents related to fundraising activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze data for financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of presentations and reports for investors, stakeholders, and management.
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and project performance.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required.
- Continuously strive to develop your knowledge and skills further.
- Engage proactively with colleagues both in your team and cross-functionally in order to make improvements and further develop the Business Development function.
- Perform any additional duties related to the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by your manager.
Key Skills And Competencies
- Proven experience in financial modelling and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the energy sector is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A Masters degree would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the renewable energy sector or working at an investment firm.
- Fluency in English: Read, Write and Speak.
