We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will manage and maintain the company’s receivables processes. This includes invoicing, payment collections, reconciling accounts, and addressing customer inquiries. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing
- Generate accurate and timely invoices for products/services rendered.
- Ensure all relevant information is included on invoices, such as payment terms and contact details.
Payment Collections
- Implement and execute effective collection strategies to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Regularly communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and resolve any payment discrepancies.
Reconciliation
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and update the accounting system accordingly.
Customer relations
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to invoices and account statements.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and customer service teams to address customer concerns.
Reporting
- Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging to provide insights into cash flow and outstanding balances.
Credit Management
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Set credit limits and terms in collaboration with the credit control team.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts receivable function.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and reduce errors.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Holder of CPA(K)
- Proven experience 3 years in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- MUST be Proficient in using accounting software SAGE and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
