TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (PAYABLES) – 1 POSITION
Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Senior Manager Accounting and Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Reconciliation of Accounts Payables;
- Assist in preparation of annual accounting schedules for external audit purposes;
- Prepare creditors’ aged analysis and deal with outstanding issues including following up with the suppliers for any necessary information or documentation;
- Prepare expenses and other monthly schedules;
- Reconciling supplier accounts, other payable accounts (e. g PAYE, WHT, WHVAT, etc) and general review of expense accounts;
- Timely Filing information for statutory obligations (WHVAT, WHT, PPRA Levy, PAYE etc),
- Liaising with the Supply Chain Management Department in the automation of processes to enhance efficiency in Supplier management; and
- Follow up on support documentation for completeness of payments.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Commerce- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any business-related degree;
- Professional courses – CPA Part I
- Basic IT and knowledge of automated Accounting systems will be an added advantage.
