The Trade Marketing &
Supplier Relations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Marketing &
Communication Manager in managing and enhancing the relationships with the
company Suppliers, ensuring positive supplier relationships. He/She will be
responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and
promotional activities to drive sales and visibility of products within the
retail and distribution channels. This role will collaborate with various
departments to ensure supplier performance, negotiate contracts and resolve
issues to boost sales and enhance the overall consumer experience at the point
of sale.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in supplier relations, trade marketing and brand.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply chain management or related field
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tool e.g., ERP system, data analytics.
- Strong background in marketing, excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Maintain professionalism across all levels of writing and communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade
marketing strategies and plans to achieve sales and brand objectives. - Plan and execute in store promotions,
displays and merchandising activities to maximize product visibility. - Assist in establishing and maintaining strong
relationships with key suppliers. - Use consumer insights to tailor trade
marketing activities and campaign effectively. - Work closely with cross-functional teams:
sales, receivables and marketing to ensure all stakeholders are informed of
supplier related developments and execution is undertaken across the range. - Collaborate with suppliers to manage the external relationships of the
company principally with its internal Stakeholders. - Monitor and enhance compliance with
contractual obligations and resolving on any issues stemming from agreed terms
and conditions drafted. - Continuously assess supplier performance and
address any issues promptly. - Drive internal communication and organization
wide initiatives. - Streamline with external strategic
communication agencies to ensure consistency in corporate messaging. - Work closely with sales team to develop and
execute joint business plans with key retailers and distributors. - Develop branding initiatives, internal
communications and external media relations. - Prepare reports and provide recommendations
accordingly as and when needed. - Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market
strategies.
