The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) is a State Corporation established under the Forest Conservation & Management Act FCMA), 2016. The Mandate of KFS is to protect, conserve, develop and sustainably manage forests and allied resources for environmental stability and the social-economic benefits for the present and future generation. In addition, KFS provides technical advisory services to the County Governments to execute their respective devolved forestry functions.

In order to strengthen its human resource capacity, the Service wishes to recruit qualified competent staff to fill the following vacant positions listed below on permanent and pensionable terms to enable it fulfill its mandate effectively and drive the country towards the attainment of 30% tree cover by 2032.

CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANT – REF KFS/CCA/2024 – KFS GRADE 11 – (2) POSITIONS

Entry Requirements :

  1. Certificate in public relations and customer care, hospitality management customer service from a recognized institution
  2. Proficiency in Computer applications
  3. Fulfils the requirements of chapter 6 of the constitution

Key Competencies and skills

  1. Good Communication Skills
  2. Basic IT literacy
  3. Organization skills
  4. Fluency in English language
  5. Interpersonal skills

An officer at this level shall report to a senior officer

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Record and confirm appointments.
  2. Record visitor’s personal details.
  3. Sort officials and invited guests name tags.
  4. Keep custody of visitors’ identification documents.
  5. Receive, direct and guide visitors to designated areas and offices.
  6. Issuing visitors passes and badges.
  7. Track visitors’ movements.
  8. Make seating arrangements
  9. Tag VIP seats during corporate functions.
  10. Mentoring and coaching
  11. Promote public values and principles
