Organisational Summary
The Young Women’s Leadership Institute (YWLI) is a feminist centre of excellence for nurturing the leadership of young women and girls. At the Young Women’s Leadership Institute (YWLI), our mission is to nurture the leadership of adolescent girls and young women/feminists and create spaces for their participation in policy processes. Guided by feminist principles and values, as well as an intersectional approach to dismantling patriarchy, we envision a society that enables the self-actualization of adolescent girls and young women, powered by transformative feminist leadership. Our goal is to establish an inclusive hub for young feminists’ organising and leadership in Kenya, ensuring the continuity and evolution of feminist principles for future generations by nurturing and amplifying diverse voices and perspectives within the feminist movement and our communities.
