Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, The Sales Analyst will play a key role in enhancing Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) by implementing improvements to Demand and Supply Planning processes. The individual will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and prioritizing events influencing demand, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring effective sales reporting and analysis. The Sales Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision making through data-driven insights.

Demand Plan Accuracy Improvement

o Consistently achieve sustainable Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) improvements, addressing accuracy levels, variability, and bias balance.

o Integrate improvements to Demand and Supply Planning processes to deliver tangible benefits, such as time savings and increased efficiencies.

Demand Analysis

o Capture, prioritize, and analyze events impacting demand, including promotions, consumer, and competitor information.

o Monitor external/internal trends and influences affecting the demand plan.

Inventory Management

o Monitor inventory levels against sales uptake and collaborate with the production team to align pack plans with customer demand.

o Communicate exceptions in demand that could lead to shortages or expiries.

o Analyze Primary/Secondary sales and stock holding across all channels.

Sales Reporting and Analysis

o Lead the preparation of periodic reports and presentations across the Commercial function.

o Evaluate sales performance and provide insights for decision-making.

Data Analysis

o Analyze EPOS and Third-Party Agencies Data to derive insights for business decision-making.

Sales Force Automation

o Manage the Sales Automation/Sales Force Automation tool, ensuring effective utilization.

o Provide sales teams with requisite reports from the SFA system.

Reporting

o Generate necessary sales reports for sharing with respective team members.

Commercial Planning

o Prepare commercial inputs for Commercial Plans, business agreements, and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for different channels/accounts.

Presentations

o Prepare commercial presentations to support business decision-making.

Sales Operations Support

o Coordinate sales activities in collaboration with sales team leaders.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

1. Holder of a Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or any other related area.

2. Possession of between 3-4 years in a similar role in FMCG set up is an added advantage.

3. Ability to use advanced Excel, or any other BI tool.

4. Strong data analysis skills.

5. Proficiency with any sales automation tool.

6. Well-developed capabilities in problem solving and crafting efficient processes.

7. Demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively.

8. Possesses strong problem-solving skills.

9. Projection and forecasting skills.

10. Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

11. Strong communication and presentation skills.
