The Tax Intern will primarily be responsible for providing commercially focused tax advice and tax services to clients by devising tax-efficient strategies and working continually to help ensure that clients make the best business decisions in the light of fiscal changes and developments.

Key roles and responsibilities
The Tax Intern will have direct responsibilities as follows:
- Advising clients on how to manage tax planning and compliance
- Providing tax consultancy and agency services on direct and indirect taxation issues
- Representing clients in tax audits, compliance checks and investigations
- Resolving matters with Kenya Revenue Authority on behalf of clients
- Updating clients on current tax developments and changes in tax legislation
- Responsible for preparing and submitting various tax returns and payments by the deadline
- Assisting and supporting auditors and accountants in handling taxation matters
- Identifying and developing new business growth opportunities for the company; and
- Performing other required tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Degree in Accounting and Finance/Law or related fields.
- Pursuing CPA-K.
- Thorough knowledge of the Kenyan tax laws and practice;
- Excellent English communication and report writing skills;
- High level of integrity and professional competence; and
- Proficiency in iTax and MS Office applications.
- Diploma in Tax administration is an added advantage.
