Overall, Purpose:
Under the guidance of the Head, Investments, the Intern will support the investment team in various investment-related tasks including research, analysis, responding to internal requests, communications, updating the investor database and liaising with other pillars as requested.

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Period: 6 months
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the deal teams in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and monitoring investments, including performing due diligence on investments.
- Participate in team meetings to support ongoing investment activities.
- Work with the strategic communications team towards building FSDAi’s brand.
- Conducting investment research related to FSDAi’s portfolio, emerging investment areas, and additional topics.
- Staying informed about investment trends.
- Maintain and update the investments databases to track and monitor prospective and existing investments.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
As a student you will need to meet the following criteria
- Enrolled/recent graduate with a Bachelors in Degree in Business, Economics or related field
Or - Enrolled in a second university degree or higher at the time of application and during the internship
- Enrolled in a four-year degree course in a collegiate or undergraduate level of a university at the time of application and during the internship; and
- Have completed at least 3 years of full- time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of an undergraduate programme
- For recent graduate, must have graduated not longer than 1 year ago.
Skills and Competencies
- Fluency in both oral and written communication in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exposure to and understanding of basic investment concepts.
- Strong academic record (University).
- Keen on details with good analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
