Electrical Technician
Overview
- Overall maintenance of plant, machinery, utility & implementation of the Plant Maintenance schedule; Reduce overall Maintenance cost (Spares & consumables) & utility cost. Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic machines. Efficient Spares management: Assist stores controller to Order and follow up.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance and condition monitoring of the whole plant and machinery and updating related records;
- Maintenance of plant, machinery, boiler, air compressor, refrigeration & air-conditioning systems, variable speed drives, process instrumentation and Plcs- Siemens and Allen Bradley.
- Root cause analysis for Machine/equipment failure and taking corrective measures to minimize future occurrence;
- Energy management.
- Attending to breakdowns and assisting in machine trouble shooting.
- Spares management
- Training and coaching operators on lean tools by participating in Autonomous maintenance activities.
- Ensure application of LOTO procedures on machines.
Experience You’ll Bring
- A diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering from a recognized institution;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy manufacturing organization
Behaviours You’ll Need
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of electrical motor control centers, variable speed drives, instrumentation, Plcs-siemens & Allen Bradley and workplace electrical safety standards.
- Can read and understand electrical schematics.
- Good knowledge on communication network i.e. ethernet,
- Can read and interrupt with pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Systematic Troubleshooting capabilities and traceability for electrical breakdowns.
- Very good knowledge and experience on classic control diagrams with ability to trace faults.
- Good knowledge of utility equipment and troubleshooting i.e.air compressors, generators ,boilers.
- Understand the SHE principle i.e. LOTO ,working at height, hot work.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems is an added advantage.
- Good understanding Lean and TPM
Shift Maintenance Technician
Overview
- Overall maintenance of plant, machinery, utility & implementation of the Plant Maintenance schedule; Reduce overall Maintenance cost (Spares & consumables) & utility cost. Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic machines. Efficient Spares management: Assist stores controller to Order and follow up.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all SCJ Safety, Health and Environment Procedures and standards.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant and equipment as allocated by the Engineering And Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to guarantee plant safety, people safety, product quality and plant uptime.
- Carry out troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of mechanical and electrical breakdowns that may occur in the plant and ensure losses due to plant downtime are within target.
- Carry out root cause problem solving / breakdown analysis using problem solving tools such as 5 Why’s, Fishbone / Ishikawa diagrams to prevent recurrence of equipment breakdowns
- Drive implementation of Autonomous Maintenance on the production halls. Coach operators on CILT activities required per equipment and participate in Autonomous Production Teams (APTs)
- Adhere to SCJ stock room inventory procedures around issuance and use of spare parts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the site maintenance system
Experience You’ll Bring
- Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- 3 to 5 years minimum experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
Behaviours You’ll Need
- Working knowledge and experience with highly automated production and processing equipment.
- Working knowledge and experience in installing and maintaining electrical and electronic system components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, relays, flow meters, contractors, servo motors, variable speed drives, vision systems etc. Experience with control systems from the following manufacturers will be an added advantage: Keyence International, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, Sick AG.
- Working knowledge and experience in installing and maintaining safety circuit systems such as interlock switches and emergency stops, safety relays.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and pneumatic schematics.
- Working knowledge and experience installing and maintaining mechanical production and processing equipment such as conveyors, pumps – centrifugal, diaphragm, rotary lobe, packaging equipment – shrink / stretch wrappers, case erectors / dealers, filling equipment.
- Working knowledge and experience installing and maintaining utility equipment such as HVAC / Extraction systems, compressed air systems etc.
- Ability to read / write electrical schematics and piping & instrumentation diagrams (PIDs).
Senior Technician Specialist – Electrical
Overview
- Overall maintenance of plant, machinery, utility & implementation of the Plant Maintenance schedule; Reduce overall Maintenance cost (Spares & consumables) & utility cost. Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic machines. Efficient Spares management: Assist stores controller to Order and follow up.
Responsibilities
- Installs and maintains power supply and distribution network in the entire site in accordance to a relevant code of practice.
- Installs, maintains, and modifies electromechanical instruments, electronic controls, and power supplies in production, warehouse, and the offices.
- Installs, maintains, and controls all facility services in the site such as air, reverse osmosis water treatment, water deionizers, and industrial water heaters.
- Contribute to preventative Maintenance programs to ensure that unplanned Downtime is avoided.
- Support in all the measurement instrument calibration in his area.
- Participate in all mechanical breakdowns and ensure root cause analysis is performed and setting mitigation actions.
- Maintain the production lines in excellent performance shape and report all deficiencies.
Experience You’ll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized electrical engineering graduate with the ability to read, understand, and interpret circuit diagrams.
- 5-year work experience in a manufacturing plant preferably FMCG.
Behaviours You’ll Need
- Good experience and troubleshooting skills in advanced technologies i.e. HMI – PLC – Servo drives – servo motors.
- A good knowledge of mechanical and electronics field is also necessary with a sound. understanding of high-voltage equipment.
- Good skills and solid background on pneumatic system.
- Good communication skills with ability to prepare reports.
- Skills in lean manufacturing.
