PROGRAMMES ATTACHEE OPPORTUNITY
Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Kenya seeks to recruit a Programmes attachee. PELUM Kenya is a national network of 61 Organizations whose mission is to promote agroecological practices and principles among small holder farmers and pastoralists for improved livelihoods. The attachee will be responsible for supporting various programme staff in their work and will be based at the Country Secretariat offices in Juja, Kenya.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

- Location: KU Boma Estate,
- Duration of contract: 6 months
- Work percentage: 100% (full time)
- Languages: Fluent in English and Swahili
- Expected starting date: June 2024
- Reporting to: Head of Programmes
Key duties and Responsibilities
- To assist in support programmes implementation work in the field and in the office.
- Assisting in Preparing and providing meeting/events documents including agenda, program and supporting
- Assisting in the preparation of meeting notes, workshop reports and presentations when
- To assist in implementation of short-term
- To support in logistics of different activities including programme meetings and events organized by PELUM-Kenya.
- To assist in compiling data related to attendances in meetings and
- To assist in capture, caption and store activity photos in a designated folder/server.
- To assist program officers in photocopying, printing and filing of necessary
- To assist in preparation and follow up on programmes budgets, payment requests and
- To Assist Zonal Coordinators (PELUM Kenya in the Field) and pursue matters that requires attention at the
- Any other duties assigned by the
Educational Requirements, Minimum Qualifications & Credentials:
- Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, environment, natural resource management, climate change, project management or related fields
- A short course related to agroecology will be an added advantage
- Excellent reporting and communication
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational, time management and strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to multi-task, to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines;
- Team player with ability to undertake tasks with minimal supervision
