FINANCE INTERN
NAIROBI, KENYA

Roles and Responsibilities
The finance Intern will act as a support function to the Finance and Administration Unit. They will assist in the team’s day-to-day activities and work on the following areas:
Finance
- Ensure procurement requests are in line with the procurement requirements and policy.
- Review of reconciliation documents, ensuring proper receipting of payments done.
- Support in preparing logistical processes for activities.
- Support in maintaining relationships with finance departments of local partners.
Administration
- Day to day update of the cashbook.
- Filing of all monthly receipts.
- Support in drafting the quarterly finance datasheet.
- Record keeping of physical activity files.
- Follow-up on vendor outstanding payments with the headquarter based finance department.
- Prepare supporting documentation for activity reconciliations.
Human Resources
- Assist in updating the leave tracking system.
- Assist in updating the annual Asset Register.
- Filling of statutory payments.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field. If still enrolled, we will need to receive a support letter from an academic institution.
- Demonstrated 3 – 6 months’ work experience in a similar function (Formal or Informal).
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Conditions
The internship will initially be for 3 months, with opportunity to renew based on performance and availability of funding.
