Community Oral Health Officer – Rongai Maiyan Mall
Core Responsibilities
- Asses dental conditions and need of patients using defined dental patient screening and monitoring procedures
- Analyse x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting
- Conduct, develop and mount radiographs as well as trace radiographs required for corrective treatment
- Undertake general treatment and care for teeth and tissue problems using specified equipment and tools and established oral health procedures
- Conduct full mouth scaling, polish and offer prophylaxis to remove plaque and stains to ensure that sterile conditions are maintained
- Fill-in cavities, rebuild broken teeth, replace missing teeth, and remove unnecessary or severely damaged teeth
- Treat and assist patients to prevent gum disease through the dental services
- Reduce simple fractures of the jaws
- Provide patient education on dental care
- Develop patients’ teeth impressions for study casts/models
- Document patient dental history and/or chief complaints and/or observations; including laboratory procedures and ensure follow up on results
- Perform dental processes to achieve local and international standards
- Manage and maintain dental department inventory; consumables, equipment and instruments. Maintain stock control procedures for the dental services to ensure accountability.
- Be up-to-date with new dental sphere developments within the profession
- Enforce adherence to the established company’s policies and procedures in order to maintain quality assurance in delivery of oral health services
- Ensure all procedures are correctly billed to capture revenue
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Community Oral Health.
- Registered by the oral health association of Kenya(OHAK)
- Valid annual practice license
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy Hospital.
Technical skills/Leadership competencies
- BLS Certification
- Proficiency in computer application packages
- Wide knowledge of the health industry
- Proven leadership, communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills
Clinical Psychologist – Teleposta
Core Responsibilities
- Patient clinical management at Medical Centre;
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients by taking proper history, make appropriate diagnosis and carry out relevant treatment plan.
- Proper documentation of EMR (Electronic Medical records) , in line with patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Oversee the efficient referral of patients in liaison with other departments to other practitioners for further management
- Provide education to the patient and relatives/caregivers.
- Take active leadership role in the development and implementation of the Bliss psychological health program
- Develop intervention programs and activities that improve psychological care.
- Promote efficiency and high standards of psychological care to Patients .
- Carry out psychological and psychosocial assessments at the medical centres and any other Outreach Centres as may be directed.
- Co-ordinate and implement all project-related psychosocial services.
- Provide referrals for psychiatric and other medical care as appropriate.
- Participate in the professional training of staff to ensure highest standards of healthcare.
- Duly document all Incidences and manage accordingly
- In conjunction with consultants, work to provide specialized care to clients.
- Collecting, compiling and submission of accurate clinical reports and any other required documentation.
- Lead the department in development, implementation and review of Standard Operating Procedures for the assigned department aimed at providing safe and quality healthcare to patients.
- Attend departmental meetings to build teamwork, communicate, identify problems and agree on solutions, evaluate departmental performance etc.
- Monitor adherence to the standardized hazardous and other waste disposal technique including all IPC measures.
- Actively participate in projects of quality healthcare such as CME’s, health talks, rational prescription audits, mortality audits, medical camps.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology either from a local or international institution.
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology from a local or international institution will be an added advantage
- Be a member of a professional body solutions.
Experience
- Have a minimum of two (2) years working experience which should be current and in a busy setup with hands on experience in Clinical Psychology
Technical skills/Leadership competencies
- Have done significant work in clinical psychology covering key aspects of the profession
- Demonstrated excellence in psychosocial care.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination.
- A strategic thinker with a proven capability of quickly assessing complex situations and generate intelligent and practical
