Reports to Study Coordinator, Project Director
Key responsibilities and Tasks
- Â Ensure a seamless and coordinated running of the study at their sites
- Â Conduct recruitment, consenting, enrollment and follow up procedures for participants into the study
- Â Conduct tracing and retention activities for participants enrolled in the study
- Â Providing timely summaries of study procedures and other reports as required
- Â Ensuring that the study sites personnel and study participants comply with study protocol.
Job Specifications
- Â Degree or Diploma in Nursing or other health-related course
- Â At least 2 years as a research assistant/study nurse in a research study preferably in an HIV care setting.
- Â Certificates in Human Subjects Protection and/or Good Clinical Practice Skills
- Â Have experience using a tablet/phone-based data collection tool like REDCap or Open Data Kit will be an added advantage
- Â Effective Communication skills in verbal and written formats in both English and Kiswahili languages
- Â Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Â Good time Management and able to make brief research reports
- Â Ability to work alone and as part of a large research team
- Â Excellent interpersonal skills, honesty and of high integrity.
- Â Computer literate
- Â Must be conversant with the study area
