Gross Salary: KES 50,000 – 60,000

Job Purpose: Our client, a leader in the automotive batteries, solar energy, energy storage, and water heating solutions industry is seeking to hire a Stores Assistant who will be responsible for the vital part of warehouse operations. He/ She will manage the receiving process, stock management and documentation thereof, in order to ensure goods are received, handled, stored and dispatched appropriately while meeting inventory holding and order fulfillments at the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing receiving of stocks from ABM, local suppliers, transfers returns and imports while ensuring completeness and accuracy of the goods received as per the company policy.
  • Timely posting of goods receipt notes in the Navision ERP System for received goods and processing of credit notes.
  • Physical inspection & verification of goods received to ensure any damages or any other anomaly is recorded and escalated.
  • Enforce a culture of zero damages in the warehouse by promoting correct handling procedures and conducting root cause analysis for all damages as per company policy and SOP.
  • Ensuring cycle counts are done on a daily basis (taking into account all received undocumented returns) to ensure zero discrepancies and in case of any variance establish root cause, corrective and preventive action. Proper filing of the cycle counts and stock take record must also be maintained.
  • Initiating stock transfers to branches based on their store requisitions and enforcing accurate loading, proper handover of goods to authorized transporters plus clear and accurate documentation of the same.
  • Enforce 5S practices at the designated warehouse.
  • Enforce safety by ensuring all person going into the warehouse have the correct PPEs as per company policy and drive safety conscious behavior to the team members.

Key Results:

  • 100 % Inventory accuracy.
  • On time receipt of stocks, imports locally manufactured and transfer.
  • Closure of all open transfer orders within 72 hrs.
  • Zero damages.
  • Zero reported safety incidence.
  • 100% proper filing of all documents (ABM Invoices, D notes, Transfers, Credit notes.)
  • 95% On Time in Full Error Free deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Supply Chain Management Diploma or Degree/ Business Administration or other relevant degree from recognized institutions.
  • 2-3 years experience of stores management.
  • Knowledge of an ERP system will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams as a team player
  • Outgoing personality and demonstrated passion for customers.
