What You’ll Do
The Quality Controller position is crucial for maintaining CBA’s products’ impeccable quality and safety. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Microbiological testing: You’ll be the guardian of quality, conducting regular sampling and testing to ensure products meet KORE (Kenya Bureau of Standards) and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and maintenance: Keeping a watchful eye on production processes is key. You’ll monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed during Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) cycles.
- Product oversight: From incoming material inspection to ensuring final products meet specifications, you’ll play a vital role in the production cycle.
- Problem-solving: Identifying and addressing deviations or non-conforming processes is essential. You’ll initiate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to pinpoint issues and implement corrective actions.
- Safety champion: Promoting a safe work environment is a priority. You’ll conduct safety awareness training for shop floor staff and participate in risk assessments.
Who You Are
- A quality control professional with at least two years of experience in a similar role or within the FMCG, bottling, or food processing industry.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards.
- A problem-solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A holder of a Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, or Industrial Analytical Chemistry.
