Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Knowledge of Kenyan company law, corporate governance principles, and tax regulations is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job role
Legal Secretarial Duties:
- Assist in maintaining statutory registers, records, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the preparation and filing of statutory returns and other legal documents as required by relevant authorities.
- Coordinate board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Support the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, contracts, and agreements under the guidance of senior staff.
Legal Analysis and Research:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various matters, including corporate law, employment law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the review and interpretation of legal documents, statutes, and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and reports to support decision-making and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal trends that may impact the company’s operations and strategies
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the legal and finance departments, including document management, correspondence, and general office tasks.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by senior management.
