Human Resource Intern

 

Job Purpose: 

The Human Resource intern will be responsible for administrative tasks in the HR department, including updating employee records, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. The Intern will assist in payroll preparation, recruiting, employee development, and in the implementation of company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
  • Screening potential employees’ resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
  • Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Assisting in the planning of company events.
  • Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
  • Coordinating new hire orientations.
  • Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
  • Removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BSc. in Human Resources Management or similar field.
  • Working knowledge of Kenya labour laws.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Accounts Intern

 

Job Purpose: 

The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting department by ensuring customer payments are received on time by performing effective customer contacts and collecting outstanding receivables. Ensure ongoing follow up of overdue receivables, balance confirmations, interaction, and clarification with customers. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced accounting environment and will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Filing of accounts Receivable documents i.e. invoices, Po etc
  • Accurately apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies as needed in the accounting system.
  • Dispatch customer invoices and statements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts regarding withholdings not paid.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and answer inquiries related to their accounts.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and support, to address customer billing concerns and site reports for repair works done.
  • Submit weekly reports on withholdings and invoices raised and sent to clients.
  • Visit customers for delinquent accounts as at when needed.
  • Follow up on copies of deliveries done to sites for billing from logistics department.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • B-Com Degree with specialization in accounting or finance.
  • CPA Finalist.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
