Description:

We are looking for Internet of Things sales representatives within Nairobi and Eldoret, Kenya. As an Internet of Things (IOT) Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales of our IOT School service. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting them with tailored IOT training solutions. Your goal is to effectively communicate the value of our offerings and ultimately close deals to meet or exceed sales targets

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients within the target market. Utilize various channels such as cold calling, emails, walk-ins, social media, and networking events to generate leads.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with leads to understand their needs and challenges. Propose suitable IOT training solutions that address client needs and pain points. Provide in-depth service information to potential clients.
  • Product Presentation/Demo:Conduct effective presentations or meetings to showcase the features and benefits of our Internet of Things offerings and address technical queries. Customize presentations based on the unique needs of each client.
  • Quoting and Proposal Creation: Prepare accurate and compelling sales quotes and proposals. Clearly outline the value proposition and ROI of our IOT School training solutions.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Skillfully negotiate terms and pricing to reach mutually beneficial agreements. Close sales deals while adhering to company guidelines and policies.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their long-term goals and offering ongoing support.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system. Provide regular sales reports and updates to sales management.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback. Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies and stay competitive in the market.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, customer support, and product teams to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
  • Customer Success:Be proactive in sorting out customers’ inquiries with the intention of increasing customer retention and receiving referrals from existing customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the eLearning, training, or software industry.
  • Experience in IoT development, including knowledge of electronics, embedded systems, and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python and strong understanding of web development, databases, cloud computing, and machine learning.
  • Ability to understand complex client needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively delivering technical demos.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
