Your mission at Sistema.bio:

The IT_ Support Intern  will be responsible for providing direct technical assistance and support to Sistema.bio employees for all network, hardware and software issues.

You’ll be in charge of:

  • Responding to user requests for service, troubleshooting problems and helping develop solutions.
  • Providing basic Software/ Hardware Support (Level I) – Providing basic day-to-day support for end user requests related to desktop software/hardware, telecom, and video conferencing.
  • Training and Development. Supporting with  training of employees on matters IT including onboarding of new employees.
  • Assisting in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment.
  • Ensuring that all malfunctioning equipment is inspected and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Performing minor repairs to equipment and arranging for other servicing needs.

More about YOU:

  • Possess a  bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year work experience in IT Support.
  • You are proficient at working with MS office.
  • You are proficient at working with Google Suite, Drive and Gmail have no secrets for you.
  • You understand laptop and printer specs, can troubleshoot and improve wifi speed.
  • You have a track record of effectively diagnosing and solving problems.
  • You have a track record of documenting solutions and developing pedagogic material.
  • You are service oriented and able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
  • You have strong verbal communication skills in the local language.
