Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site internship position in Nairobi County, Kenya. As an ICT Intern at The East African University, you will support our ICT team to troubleshoot technical issues and assist with various projects related to network infrastructure, software and hardware. Your main responsibilities will include providing technical support to staff members, testing applications and systems, assisting with the installation and configuration of ICT components, and maintaining and updating the University’s ICT infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with a diverse range of operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and Java is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an ICT-related field, or currently pursuing a degree in ICT or Computer Science
- A passion for technology, and a desire to learn and grow as an ICT professional
