Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Nairobi,in promoting and selling the unique offerings of our Safari Lodge located in the heart of the Maasai Mara. As a Field Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, building strong relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth within the hospitality sector.
Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue Generation
– Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities within the hospitality industry, targeting travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients.
– Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
– Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the distinct features and experiences offered by our Safari Lodge.
Client Relationship Management
– Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients.
– Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
– Act as the main point of contact between clients and the Safari Lodge, providing timely and accurate information.
Market Analysis and Competitor Intelligence
– Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead in the market.
– Conduct regular market analysis and provide feedback to the management team to enhance the lodge’s competitive position.
Event Participation and Networking
– Represent the Safari Lodge at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and foster business relationships.
– Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials and participate in marketing initiatives.
Reporting and Analytics
– Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, client interactions, and market trends.
– Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust approaches accordingly.
Qualifications
– Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the hospitality industry.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
– Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, especially in the safari and wildlife sectors.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
– Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in field sales, with a successful track record.
Familiarity with the Maasai Mara region and the wildlife tourism industry is a plus.
