- Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
- Considerable experience in journalism and writing news content for digital media
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic and analytical thinker
- Ability to go the extra mile
- Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
- Work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring trending current affairs, news and stories
- Verify facts and accuracy of all news reports before they are published
- Ensure articles have catchy headlines and appropriate photos or illustrations
- Post articles to Facebook in different formats, including Facebook picture posts with links
- Source ideas for exclusive stories ((including interviews, analysis and feature articles, and explainers)
- Source comments from experts
- Write and publish stories that resonate with our audience
- Strictly follow our in-house guide to ensure articles meet journalistic standards
- Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.
