The Opportunity

As a Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Global Lead, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical guidance and support to our Country Offices and Regional Hubs worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing real-time support to Country Offices during emergencies, with approximately 50% of your time spent working closely with teams at the point of impact.
  • Strengthening the capacity of humanitarian teams and actively participating in in-country coordination mechanisms.
  • demonstrating a strong Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) capacity and positioning for funding opportunities
  • Representing Plan International at both national and global coordination fora, showcasing our commitment to humanitarian efforts.

About you 

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Degree or equivalent in Cash and Voucher Assistance or related fields or appropriate work experience.
  • Proven experience of design, implementation and managing CVA, in-kind and food in emergencies programmes in a range of different humanitarian crises.
  • Demonstrated success in developing fundraising proposals for various donors..
  • In-depth knowledge of key practices and guidance for CVA in emergencies.
  • Experience in feasibility/targeting analysis for implementation of CVA programmes.
  • Extensive understanding of Social Protection, Social Safety Nets and livelihoods.
  • Direct experience with and thorough knowledge of CVA programming and regulations of major donors including but not restricted to WFP, USAID, BHA, EU, DFAT, CIDA, FCDO.
  • Significant knowledge of humanitarian response and humanitarian coordination mechanisms
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrable experience in advocacy, influencing and negotiating skills, experienced in gaining commitment from a wide range of people and bringing about change.
  • Able to work calmly under extreme pressure and at unpredictable hours during emergency response.
