Position: Credit Controller
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Salary Range: Kshs 80,000 – Kshs 100,000
Our client is a well established company in Africa dealing with crop protection, animal health, consumer and vegetable seeds. They wish to recruit a Credit Controller who will be operating from Nairobi, Kenya.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with sales and marketing, finance team and senior Management.
- Establish policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
- Check consumer credit reports, approve or deny applications and communicate decisions to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers and set credit terms and conditions accordingly.
- Maintain credit records, conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts.
- Report any payment issues to Finance Director.
- Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company collections procedures as necessary.
- Look for ways to improve debt collection processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Business Degree or related studies.
- CPA-K
- 2-3 years of similar experience in a busy organization.
- Good Communicator
- Ability to follow through
- Active listening skills
- Analytical skills
